Riffyn SaaS offers a unique “design-first” approach to scientific experimentation and product development that solves previously intractable data fragmentation issues. Riffyn provides global R&D organizations with unprecedented access to high-quality data, process design information and integrative data analytics.
Riffyn’s commercial development team brings a consultative selling methodology with a focus on problem identification. Our objective is to identify prospective organizations who face many of the challenges for which Riffyn was designed to solve. We interact frequently with senior scientists and scientific leaders. We are looking for a candidate with a strong foundation in science and/or engineering and an understanding of how new products are developed within R&D organizations.
Riffyn seeks a sales representative with 3+ years of experience in lab-based sciences or information technology and 2+ years conducting client-facing services or sales.
In this role, you will tap your skills and experiences in consulting, sales, business development, science, and/or engineering to identify, engage, and close new Riffyn customers. These customers suffer from chronic data fragmentation with analytical results spread across spreadsheets and databases and need a solution like Riffyn to provide a radically more integrated, accessible and ready for scientific discovery. Your grit will help you identify and engage new leads within R&D organizations. Your technical knowledge will connect their scientific needs to our product’s solutions. Your engaging personality and communication skills will help them make the decision to work with Riffyn. Your sales experience will help them gain support within their organization.
2+ years in consulting, sales, business development, or other customer-facing experience within the food, chemicals, life-science firm or a software firm that sold to these industries.
3-5 years as a research scientist or engineer for pharma, chemicals, food, industrial biotech firms
BS, MS, PhD in Science, Engineering, Statistics/Applied Math
Can describe a technical product/process/service to a non-technical audience
Are comfortable managing multiple relationships simultaneously
Willing to travel up to 20%
