OAKLAND, CA - Riffyn, a developer of cloud-based software for research and development, today announced that Jean-Claude Calegari has joined the company as Vice President of Operations and Finance.

Previously, Jean-Claude was the VP of Finance at Womply, a 160 person SAAS financial technology company that served small and medium sized businesses. Prior to that, he headed supply chain operations at Amyris where he built the company’s contract manufacturing footprint in the US and Europe, managed global supply chain operations, and led strategic planning and M&A due diligence. He is also the founder and co-owner of Skuut, the leading balance bike company for kids ages 3 to 5.
Jean-Claude holds an MBA from the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley, a BA in Sociology from Harvard University. His background also includes past work as a CPA.
Riffyn provides research design and analytics software (SaaS) to biotech, pharmaceutical, food and chemical industries. Riffyn SaaS offers a unique “design-first” approach to scientific experimentation and product development that solves previously intractable data fragmentation issues. The software provides global R&D organizations with unprecedented access to high-quality data, process design information and integrative data analytics. The company was founded in 2014 by veterans from the life science and high-performance computing industries, and is headquartered in Oakland, California.
