Elliot Katzman is an advisor to Riffyn and a general partner of Commonwealth Capital Ventures, and a Board member of Onshape, Acacia and Seniorlink. Previously, he was a general partner at Kodiak Venture Partners, and has more than 30 years of high-technology experience as a venture investor, founder and senior executive in software, internet-related and new media companies. A few of his notable recent successes include Cloudswitch (acquired by Verizon), Vela Systems (acquired by Autodesk), and Echo Nest (acquired by Spotify). Elliot also spent more than 20 years as a senior executive at four highly successful software companies. He founded and led Myteam.com (merged with Active Network); he was Senior VP and CFO at SolidWorks (acquired by Dassault Systemes); he was the CFO of Atria Software, where he led an IPO and a $1 billion merger with Pure Software, the largest software merger of its time; and, he served as CFO of Epoch Systems (acquired by EMC). He holds a BSBA from Salem State College. He is also involved in a variety of community activities including the Board of Trustees of St. John’s Prep High School and the Board of Fellows for Trinity College.
